Four New Zealand Breakers players scored in double figures. New Zealand Breakers' coach Andrej Lemanis used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international forward Jacob Holmes (201-83) responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from downtown making all five shots) and the former international swingman Peter Crawford (193-79) scored 17 points, 5 assists and 4 steals (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). New Zealand Breakers moved-up to second place. Loser Townsville Crocodiles dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. New Zealand Breakers will meet at home Melbourne Tigers (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
