We should mention about the upset which took place in Mallorca, where higher ranked Leche Rio Breogan (6-5) lost to twelfth ranked Basquet Mallorca (5-6) in a road game 75-80 on Friday. Leche Rio Breogan was trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 22-16 charge of Basquet Mallorca, which allowed them to win the game. Basquet Mallorca forced 20 Leche Rio Breogan turnovers. Strangely Leche Rio Breogan outrebounded Basquet Mallorca 37-25 including 24 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American forward Shaun Green (203-87, college: Utah, agency: Limelight Hoops) who scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Levi Knutson (193-88, college: Colorado, agency: FCM) chipped in 17 points. Center Manuel Gomez (203-78) produced 16 points and 6 rebounds and American swingman Joseph Krabbenhoft (201-87, college: Wisconsin, agency: N.E.T.) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five Leche Rio Breogan players scored in double figures. Basquet Mallorca moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Leche Rio Breogan dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. Basquet Mallorca will face bottom-ranked Clinicas Rincon (#18) in Malaga in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
