Very important is a road loss of second ranked Ourense (5-2) against fourth ranked River Andorra (5-2) on Friday night. Visiting Ourense was crushed by River Andorra in Andorra 91-53. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Ourense. The game without a history. River Andorra led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. River Andorra dominated on the defensive end, holding Ourense to just 6 points in third quarter. River Andorra dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Ourense's 32. They outrebounded Ourense 34-17 including a 26-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. River Andorra players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Ourense's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Edward Cage (203-78, college: Bradley) who helped to win the game recording 19 points (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) and swingman Pablo Sanchez (197-81) who added 14 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four River Andorra players scored in double figures. French-Ivorian forward Francis Koffi (202-81, college: Fresno St.) responded with 15 points and American forward Matthew Webster (203-84, college: Evansville) scored 5 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. River Andorra moved-up to third place, which they share with Ourense and Coruna. River Andorra will play against Lan Mobel ISB (#8) in Azpeitia in the next round where they are favorite. Ourense will play at home against Feve Oviedo (#11) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
