There was a small surprise in Toronto, ON where seventh ranked Lancers (3-2) defeated 4th ranked Rams (1-4) 83-66 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Lancers. Rams was better in second period 18-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lancers forced 22 Rams turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Enrico Diloreto (186-90) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and guard Josh Collins (186-90) who added 12 points, 6 assists and 6 steals during the contest. Four Lancers players scored in double figures. International point guard Jahmal Jones (183-91) responded with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and naturalized Italian guard Luke Staniscia (193-88) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Lancers moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Guelph. Loser Rams keep the fourth position with four games lost. Lancers will face higher ranked Blues (#3) in Toronto, ON in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Rams will play at home against Mustangs in London, ON.
