Regular Season Round 10: Orchy - St Quentin 73-84

Date: November 26, 2011
An interesting game was also tough home defeat of 6th ranked Orchesien BC in a game in Orchies versus Saint-Quentin (#5) 84-73. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Orchesien BC. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Orchesien BC was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Saint-Quentin dominated on the defensive end, holding Orchesien BC to just 7 points in fourth quarter. Naturalized American guard Jimmal Ball (178-78, college: Akron, agency: ACMT) notched 23 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and American forward Darnell Williams (200-78, college: San Jose St., agency: David Lee services) supported him with 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four Saint-Quentin players scored in double figures. Even 21 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) by American guard Jahsha Bluntt (198-84, college: Delaware St., agency: David Lee services) did not help to save the game for Orchesien BC. Serbian forward Djordje Petrovic (202-84) added 18 points for lost side. Saint-Quentin (8-2) have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Cognac and Charleville. Loser Orchesien BC dropped to the fourth place with three games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Saint-Quentin will meet at home league's second-placed Cognac in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Orchesien BC will play against Blois and hope to secure a win.
