Everything could happen in Stargard at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Spojnia and 6th ranked MKS Znicz Basket had identical 6-3 record. This time Spojnia used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Pruszkow 79-73. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 23-14. But MKS Znicz Basket won second period 19-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Spojnia forced 26 MKS Znicz Basket turnovers. They brought some defensive toughness making 13 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for guard Adam Parzych (190-86, college: Bryant, agency: Promotex) who led the winners and scored 18 points. Guard Tomasz Stepien (193-86) accounted for 13 points for the winning side. Spojnia's coach Tadeusz Aleksandrowicz used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Grzegorz Malewski (200-84) came up with 19 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and guard Dominik Czubek (178-75) added 19 points respectively for MKS Znicz Basket in the defeat. Spojnia (7-3) moved-up to fourth place. MKS Znicz Basket at the other side keeps the sixth position with four games lost. Spojnia's next round opponent will be league's second-placed P.Cukier SIDEn in Torun and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. MKS Znicz Basket will play at home against the league's leader Sokol Lancut (#1).
