Very expected game when 7th ranked Weert (1-7) was defeated on the road by third ranked Nijmegen (6-3) 79-63. The game without a history. Nijmegen led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Nijmegen had a 36-25 advantage in offensive rebounds. Americans were the main players on the court. It was an exceptional evening for forward Lucas Hargrove (198-88, college: Auburn) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 19 rebounds. Forward Markel Humphrey (198-87, college: Marshall) accounted for 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Four Nijmegen players scored in double figures. Nijmegen's coach Michael Schuurs allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Center Yamene Coleman (206-86, college: Troy, agency: Court Side) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and guard DeMario Anderson (193-85, college: Quinnipiac, agency: Court Side) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Weert in the defeat. Nijmegen moved-up to second place, which they share with Leiden and Zwolle. Weert lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with seven games lost. Nijmegen will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Weert will play on the road against Leeuwarden (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
