Regular Season Round 15: Shiga L-Stars - Takamatsu FA 95-78

Bottom-ranked Takamatsu FA (0-13) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their 13th consecutive match to third ranked Shiga L-Stars (8-5) 95-78. The game without a history. Shiga L-Stars led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Takamatsu FA's players. It was a good game for American forward Ray Nixon (203-84, college: Wisconsin) who led his team to a victory with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Panamanian forward Dionisio Gomez Camargo (203-80, college: Arkansas) contributed with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Shiga L-Stars' coach Al Westover used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. point guard Masaaki Suzuki (176-87) answered with 27 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and American power forward Paul Butorac (208-83, college: E.Washington) added 12 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Takamatsu FA. Five Shiga L-Stars and four Takamatsu FA players scored in double figures. Shiga L-Stars moved-up to second place, which they share with 5 other teams. Takamatsu FA at the other side still closes the standings with 13 games lost. Shiga L-Stars' next round opponent will be again Takamatsu FA (#9) at home and are hoping to win another game.
