Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked Unicaja Malaga and 3rd placed Caja Laboral had identical 6-2 record. This time Unicaja Malaga used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Vitoria 79-66 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Unicaja Malaga. Caja Laboral was better in third quarter 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for Latvian guard Kristaps Valters (190-81) who led his team to a victory with 14 points and 7 assists. Croatian power forward Luka Zoric (211-84) contributed with 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Unicaja Malaga players scored in double figures. point guard Pau Ribas (193-87) answered with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Guyanese-French power forward Kevin Seraphin (205-89) added 16 points in the effort for Caja Laboral. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Unicaja Malaga (7-2) moved-up to third place. Caja Laboral at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Unicaja Malaga will face Asefa Estudiantes (#14) in Madrid in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Caja Laboral will play at home against Lagun Aro GBC (#18) in San Sebastian.
