Important game to mention about took place in Tbilisi. Ninth ranked TSU (2-4) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 7th ranked Samedicino-Academia (3-4) 93-91 on Saturday evening. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 93-91. Strangely Samedicino-Academia outrebounded TSU 47-34 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Center Tornike Niniashvili (205-82) fired a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Guard Mikheil Chitashvili (193-84) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists. Center Beka Bekauri (207-91) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and guard Malkhazi Abaishvili (183-91) added 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Samedicino-Academia's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. TSU maintains ninth place with 2-4 record. Samedicino-Academia at the other side keeps the seventh position with four games lost. TSU's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi STU.
