Very expected game in Toronto, ON where 7th ranked Lancers (3-3) were defeated by third ranked Blues (3-3) 86-81 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Lancers trailed by 20 points after 3 quarters before a 29-14 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 81-86 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was Arun Kumar (183) who scored 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Bosnian forward Drazen Glisic (198) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. Blues' coach Mike Katz used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Enrico Diloreto (186-90) who recorded 31 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and international forward Lien Phillip (203-89) added 11 points and 12 rebounds respectively. Five Blues and four Lancers players scored in double figures. Blues moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Lancers. Blues will face Marauders (#4) in Hamilton, ON in the next round. Lancers will play at home against RMC in Kingston, ON.
