Not a big story in a game in Guelph, ON where 6th ranked Gryphons (3-3) were defeated by second ranked Gee-Gees (3-3) 83-77 on Saturday. Gryphons trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 31-25 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 77-83 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was international guard Warren Ward (196-89) who scored 28 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Johnny Berhanemeskel (185) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists. Gryphons will play on the road against Voyageurs in Sudbury, ON and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
