Regular Season Round 9: Waterloo - Laurentian 72-83

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Warriors' (4-2) home loss to fourth ranked Voyageurs (2-4) 72-83 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Voyageurs. Warriors was better in second period 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was swingman Georges Serresse (191) who scored 28 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Isiah Pasquale (191) chipped in 23 points. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Brendan Smith (201-89) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and guard Cam McIntyre (191-87) added 19 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Warriors' coach let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Voyageurs maintains fourth place with 2-4 record, which they share with Ryerson and New Brunsw. Loser Warriors keep the fifth position with two games lost. Voyageurs will face Gryphons (#6) in Guelph, ON in the next round. Warriors will play on the road against the league's leader Ravens in Ottawa, ON.
