Ikaros has finally registered their first victory this season after five consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat KAOD (1-5) 79-68 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 24-10 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Ikaros made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Australian-New Zealand center Aron Baynes (208-86, college: Washington St.) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. The former international guard Fanis Koumpouras (185-83, agency: FCM) chipped in 14 points and 6 assists.
