Regular Season Round 10: Montbrison - Roche 74-88

Very predictable result when seventh ranked Roche (7-3) won against on the road 16th ranked Montbrison (1-9) 88-74 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Roche. Montbrison was better in fourth quarter 19-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Roche forced 22 Montbrison turnovers. Quite impressive performance for guard Benjamin Thomas (181-82) who helped to win the game recording 25 points. Bahamas power forward Lavar Simmons (201-83, college: Master's) contributed with 19 points for the winners. American power forward James St Robert (203-86, college: Dowling) replied with 23 points and 8 rebounds and forward Kevin Mondesir (203-91) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Montbrison. Roche moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Montbrison dropped to the seventeenth position with nine games lost. Roche will face league's leader Charleville-Mezieres at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Montbrison will play against CFBB (#18) in Paris and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
