The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Osaka Evessa (11-2) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by seventh ranked Miyazaki Shining Suns (5-8) 70-68. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Osaka Evessa. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 39-36 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for center Darryl Dora (206-85, college: Texas Tech) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds. Swingman Dexter Lyons (198-81, college: Cent.Florida, agency: I.D.S. Law) helped adding 14 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. The best for the losing side was forward Lynn Washington (200-78, college: Indiana) with 22 points and 8 rebounds and forward Lawrence Blackledge (206-86, college: Marquette) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Miyazaki Shining Suns have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain seventh place with 5-8 record, which they share with Toyama Grouses. Osaka Evessa at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Miyazaki Shining Suns will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Osaka Evessa will play again at home against Miyazaki Shining Suns and is hoping to win this game.
