Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked Battipaglia and 13th ranked Viterbo had identical 2-6 record. But Viterbo was not able to use a home court advantage and was edged by the opponent from Battipaglia 57-54 on Saturday night. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 14-2. But Viterbo won second period 19-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Battipaglia (3-6) moved-up to tenth place in South, which they share with Napoli BK. Loser Viterbo keeps the thirteenth position with seven games lost. Battipaglia will face league's second-placed C.U.S. Chieti at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Viterbo will play against Napoli BK Women (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
