Arkadikos (#9) forced the game against Panelefsiniakos (#3) into an overtime, but lost by one point 94-95. The game took place in Arkadia. But the guests from Eleusina were better at the end. The guests were tied after three quarters and then recorded another tie at the end of regular time. They eventually won an overtime period 9-8. Panelefsiniakos dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Arkadikos' 32. Panelefsiniakos forced 22 Arkadikos turnovers. Strangely Arkadikos outrebounded Panelefsiniakos 37-22 including 25 on the defensive glass. 27 personal fouls committed by Arkadikos helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for guard Spyros Magounis (200-85, agency: FCM) who saved his team from a defeat with 25 points and 5 steals. Guard Thomas Nikou (185-79) contributed with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots) for the winners. Panelefsiniakos' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Power forward Andronikos Gizogiannis (200-83, agency: FCM) answered with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 14 rebounds and guard Thodoris Tsiotras (198-87) added 14 points and 8 assists in the effort for Arkadikos. Five Panelefsiniakos and four Arkadikos players scored in double figures. Panelefsiniakos have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Apollon Patras and Ikaroi Serron. Arkadikos lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with five games lost. Panelefsiniakos' next round opponent will be league's leader Apollon Patras at home and it will be for sure the game of the week. Arkadikos will play against the league's second-placed Ikaroi Serron (#2) in Serres.
