Regular Season Round 11: Rosa Radom - Polonia 61-57

Rather expected game when 11th ranked Polonia (4-6) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Rosa Radom (6-5) 61-57. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Polonia won third quarter 15-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Rosa Radom made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Polonia turnovers and outrebounded them 42-26 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for guard Artur Donigiewicz (185-84) who led the winners and scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Center Michal Nikiel (205-83) accounted for 7 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. Rosa Radom's coach Piotr Ignatowicz used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Forward Artur Mikolajko (197-79) came up with 13 points and 6 rebounds and guard Michal Musijowski (180-89) added 10 points and 4 assists respectively for Polonia in the defeat. Four Polonia players scored in double figures. Rosa Radom moved-up to eighth place. Newly promoted Polonia keeps the eleventh position with six games lost. Rosa Radom's next round opponent will be MOSiR Krosno (#14) on the road which should be theoretically an easy game. Polonia will play against Sudety in Jelenia Gora and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
