Very important is a road loss of second ranked Torino (8-3) against sixth ranked Castelletto (4-7) on Sunday night. Visiting Torino was defeated by Castelletto in a tough game in Castelletto 74-78. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 25-17. But Torino won second period 23-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Castelletto shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 63.2 percentage. The best player for the winners was center Matteo Raminelli (203-83) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds. point guard Armando Iannone (187-90) chipped in 12 points and 6 assists. Guard Daniele Parente (190-78) produced 13 points and 9 assists and the former international forward Cristiano Masper (208-73) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Castelletto moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 5 other teams. Torino at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. Castelletto's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Trieste on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Torino will play against Casalpusterlengo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
