Bottom-ranked Langhus IL (0-13) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their 13th consecutive match to fifth ranked Tromso (5-4) 109-54. The game without a history. Tromso led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to Langhus IL's 32. They outrebounded Langhus IL 54-12 including a 15-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Tromso players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by Langhus IL's players. American forward Brad Byerson (201-85, college: Virginia Union) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. His fellow American import guard Gary Wallace (190-88, college: Robert Morris) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winners. Byerson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Tromso players scored in double figures. Tromso's coach Kenneth Webb felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard David Crouch (-86) answered with 18 points and guard Ole Egeland (186-83) added 14 points in the effort for Langhus IL. Tromso maintains fifth place with 5-4 record. Langhus IL lost their thirteenth game in a row. Newly promoted Langhus IL still closes the standings with 13 games lost. Tromso's next round opponent will be league's leader Froya Basket in Laksevag and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Langhus IL will play at home against Asker Aliens (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
