Lega2 round 9 caused change at the leadership position. Third defeat of league's leader Tuscany Pistoia (6-3) against third ranked Trenkwalder RE (6-2) 91-43 was the most important game of the last round. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The game without a history. Trenkwalder RE led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Tuscany Pistoia's 24. American guard Dwight Hardy (188, college: St.John's) answered with 13 points and naturalized American guard Donte Mathis (190-77, college: Texas St.) added 9 points in the effort for Tuscany Pistoia. Trenkwalder RE moved-up to second place, which they share with Centrale Latte. Tuscany Pistoia at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Enel Brindisi. Tuscany Pistoia will play next round against Tezenis Verona trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Trenkwalder RE will try to continue on its current victory against fifteenth ranked S.Antimo in Sant'Antimo.
