Rather expected game in Rishon Le-Zion where bottom-ranked Elitzur Netanya (0-6) was defeated by eighth ranked Maccabi Rishon (3-3) 79-69 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Maccabi Rishon. Elitzur Netanya was better in third quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for Jamaican-American power forward Adrian Uter (201-84, college: Hofstra, agency: Gross Zeev ISA) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. American swingman Joe Crawford (196-86, college: Kentucky, agency: Priority Sports) helped adding 21 points. Four Maccabi Rishon players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Brian Asbury (200-86, college: Miami, FL) responded with 13 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import guard Adrian Banks (191-86, college: NW Mississippi CC) scored 17 points. Maccabi Rishon moved-up to seventh place. Loser Elitzur Netanya still closes the standings with six games lost. Maccabi Rishon will face Maccabi Ashdod (#10) on the road in the next round. Elitzur Netanya will play against B.C. Habikaa and hopes to get finally their first victory.
