Regular Season Round 9: Nuovo Napoli - Biancoblu BO 86-70

S.Antimo's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after seven consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Biancoblu BO (3-5) 86-70. The game was mostly controlled by S.Antimo. Biancoblu BO was better in second period 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Biancoblu BO 40-28 including 29 on the defensive glass. Biancoblu BO was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard David Teague (196-83, college: Purdue) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import swingman Folarin Campbell (193-86, college: George Mason) chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Five S.Antimo players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Tre Kelley (182-85, college: S.Carolina) with 15 points and Croatian guard Zoran Vrkic (200-87) scored 14 points. Newly promoted S.Antimo maintains fifteenth place with 1-7 record. Biancoblu BO at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eleventh position with five games lost. They share it with MarcoPoloShop and Tezenis Verona. S.Antimo will play against league's second-placed Trenkwalder RE in Reggio Emilia in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Biancoblu BO will play at home against Aget Imola (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
