There was no surprise when 10th ranked Cagliari CUS (1-6) was crushed on the road by third ranked Umbertide (6-1) 76-50 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 76-50. Umbertide forced 21 Cagliari CUS turnovers. International forward Sabrina Cinili (190-89) fired 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. The former international guard Francesca Zara (177-76, agency: Players Group) chipped in 7 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Umbertide players scored in double figures. They keep the tenth place with six games lost. Umbertide will face CA Faenza (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Cagliari CUS will play against Bracco Geas (#9) in Sesto S.Giovanni and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
