Regular Season Round 4: Hap.Petah Tikva - Ramat Hasharon 75-81

The most interesting game of round 4 was a home defeat of 6th ranked Hap.Petah Tikva (1-2) to third ranked Ramat Hasharon (2-1) 81-75. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 23-17. But Hap.Petah Tikva won second period 25-24. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Ramat Hasharon won last quarter 19-14. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Jessica Breland (190-88, college: N.Carolina) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and Jamaican-American guard Maurita Reid (173-85, college: Miami, FL) who added 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four Ramat Hasharon players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Kaili McLaren (188-88, college: Connecticut) responded with 21 points and 8 rebounds and her fellow American import swingman Sheri Lynette Sam (183-74, college: Vanderbilt) scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. Ramat Hasharon maintains third position with 2-1 record behind leader Maccabi Ashdod, which they share with Elitzur Ramla. Hap.Petah Tikva at the other side dropped to the eighth place with two games lost. Ramat Hasharon is looking forward to face Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (#6) at home in the next round. Hap.Petah Tikva will have a break next round.
