We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when eighth ranked LrNMKY (6-8) beat 7th ranked UU-Korihait (6-9) in Uusikaupunki 87-72. The game was mostly controlled by LrNMKY. UU-Korihait was better in second period 23-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard DeAndre Haynes (187-84, college: Kent St., agency: Court Side) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and the other American import forward Tyler Tiedeman (201-85, college: Boise St., agency: Interperformances) who added 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four LrNMKY players scored in double figures. LrNMKY's coach Lasse Tuovi allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side international power forward Petri Heinonen (207-88) responded with 14 points and forward Cedric Latimer (198-87, college: St.Francis, PA) scored 9 points and 8 rebounds. LrNMKY have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place. UU-Korihait at the other side dropped to the eighth position with nine games lost. LrNMKY will play against KTP-Basket (#10) in Kotka in the next round. UU-Korihait will play on the road against Kouvot in Kouvola and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
