The game between third ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (3-2) and sixteenth ranked Shanghai Sharks (1-3) was the most important one in the last round on Wednesday night. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions were defeated by Shanghai Sharks in Shanghai 75-91. The game was mostly controlled by Shanghai Sharks. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions managed to win fourth quarter 19-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Shanghai Sharks dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Zhejiang Guangsha Lions' 38. They outrebounded Zhejiang Guangsha Lions 61-31 including a 41-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Mike Harris (198-83, college: Rice) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Ryan Forehan-Kelly (196-80, college: California) contributed with 30 points and 6 rebounds (on 13-of-15 shooting from the field) for the winners. American forward Wilson Chandler (203-87, college: De Paul) answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds and forward Yongpeng Zhang (208-90) added 13 points in the effort for Zhejiang Guangsha Lions. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Shanghai Sharks left bottom position moving up to fourteenth place, which they share with Foshan. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions at the other side keep the third position with two games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Shanghai Sharks is looking forward to face higher ranked Jilin Tigers (#3) in Changchun in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
