Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Lechugueros (10-20) lost to fifth ranked Huracanes (20-11) in Leon 63-77 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Huracanes. Lechugueros managed to win third quarter 18-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Huracanes forced 19 Lechugueros turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Huracanes especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by American power forward Robert Hornsby (196-82, college: Troy) who scored that evening 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import forward Leroy Davis (200-81, college: Georgia St.) supported him with 19 points and 5 rebounds. Even a double-double of 13 points and 15 rebounds by Bahamas power forward Ryan Moss (200-74, college: UALR) did not help to save the game for Lechugueros. American forward Deilvez Yearby (198-87, college: IPFW, agency: Pro One Sports) added 16 points and 11 rebounds for the hosts. Huracanes have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Pioneros. Lechugueros lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 20 games lost. Huracanes will meet at home Soles (#6) in the next round. Lechugueros will play against the league's second-placed Fuerza Regia (#2) in Monterrey and hope to secure a win.
