Regular Season Round 4: Timisoara - Galil Gilboa 76-83

Balkan League top team - Israeli Galil Gilboa (4-0) added another victory to their record. This time they beat fifth ranked Romanian Timisoara (1-3) 83-76. The guests were already 11 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 18-14 Timisoara's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 83-76 at the end of the game. Galil Gilboa dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Timisoara's 34. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Center Ido Kozikaro (203-78) fired 17 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winners. American Romeo Travis (200-84, college: Akron) chipped in 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Galil Gilboa's coach Lior Lubin allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Croatian swingman Ivan Siriscevic (198-87) produced 24 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Dominique Archie (200-87, college: S.Carolina) added 16 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Galil Gilboa and four Timisoara players scored in double figures. Galil Gilboa have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record, which they share with Levski Sofia. Timisoara at the other side dropped to the fourth place with three games lost. Galil Gilboa's next round opponent will be Torus Skopje (#4) at home. Timisoara will play against Mornar Bar and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
