Regular Season Round 10: Manitoba - Winnipeg 99-80

Date: December 1, 2011
Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked Wesmen (2-6) was outscored by eighth ranked Bisons (4-4) in Winnipeg, MB 99-80 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Bisons. Wesmen was better in second period 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 27-of-33 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game, while Wesmen only scored eleven points from the stripe. Bisons forced 19 Wesmen turnovers. It was a very good performance for guard Kevin Oliver (198) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Kurtis Sansregret contributed with 21 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!) for the winners. Guard Dominique Brown (193) replied with 21 points and forward Brayden Duff (193) added 14 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Wesmen. Five Bisons and four Wesmen players scored in double figures. Wesmen's coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Bisons moved-up to sixth place, which they share with TRU and Lethbridge. Wesmen lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
