CIS top team - Ravens (7-0) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Warriors (4-3) in Ottawa, ON 102-53. The game without a history. Ravens led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Warriors to just 6 points in first quarter. Ravens dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Warriors' 16. They outrebounded Warriors 47-21 including a 17-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for forward Dan Penner (201) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Willy Manigat (180) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Four Ravens players scored in double figures. Guard Cam McIntyre (191-87) replied with 11 points and guard Mike Wright (180-91) added 8 points in the effort for Warriors. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ravens have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-0 record, which they share with Laurier. Loser Warriors keep the fifth place with three games lost. Ravens will face league's leader Golden Hawks in Waterloo, ON in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Warriors will play on the road against the league's second-placed Gee-Gees (#2) in Ottawa, ON.
