Regular Season Round 10: Porvoon Tarmo - HBA-Marsky 87-72

No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked Porvoon Tarmo (4-6) defeated at home bottom-ranked Torpan Pojat (1-10) 87-72. The game was mostly controlled by Porvoon Tarmo. Torpan Pojat was better in third quarter 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Porvoon Tarmo dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Torpan Pojat's 32. American forward Mike King (201-74, college: Ill.-Chicago) notched a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and naturalized American guard La Trice Little (186-79, college: Mercy) supported him with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his seven free throws). Even a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds by Cuban guard Alexis Lavastida (188-77) did not help to save the game for Torpan Pojat. Power forward Harri Hohteri (200-77) added 12 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Porvoon Tarmo moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Ura Basket. Torpan Pojat lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
