Very expected game when bottom-ranked Lions (0-7) lost to third ranked Thunderwolves (6-1) in Toronto, ON 76-91 on Friday. The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 56-38 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Thunderwolves made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game, while Lions only scored six points from the stripe. It was a great shooting night for Thunderwolves especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. It was a very good performance for forward Brendan King (201) who helped to win the game recording 21 points. American forward Adam Johnson (, college: Georgetown, KY) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Thunderwolves' coach Scott Morrison used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Richard Iheadindu replied with 28 points and 7 rebounds and forward Christian Coldea (201) added 18 points in the effort for Lions. Four Lions players scored in double figures. Thunderwolves moved-up to second place, which they share with McMaster. Loser Lions still closes the standings with seven games lost. Thunderwolves will face Voyageurs (#5) in Sudbury, ON in the next round. Lions will play at home against Gryphons in Guelph, ON and hope to get finally their first victory.
