Very important is a road loss of third ranked Blues (3-4) against fourth ranked Marauders (6-1) on Friday night. Visiting Blues were defeated by Marauders in Hamilton, ON 78-60. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Blues. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 78-60. Marauders forced 31 Blues turnovers. Guard Victor Raso (193) notched 19 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and center Taylor Black (201) supported him with 11 points and 6 rebounds. Even 13 points and 4 assists by Arun Kumar (183) did not help to save the game for Blues. Bosnian forward Drazen Glisic (198) added 8 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Marauders have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Lakehead. Loser Blues dropped to the second position with four games lost. They share it with Ryerson and Ottawa. Marauders will meet at home Rams (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Blues will play against Badgers in St.Catharines, ON and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
