Regular Season Round 6: TianJin S. - Fujian QB 101-108

Bottom-ranked Fujian SBS XunXin managed to get a second victory, breaking the four-game losing streak on Friday night. This time they won against twelfth-ranked TianJin Rongcheng in Tianjin 108-101. TianJin Rongcheng trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 34-29 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 101-108 at the end of the game. Fujian SBS XunXin forced 23 TianJin Rongcheng turnovers. American center Will McDonald (211-79, college: S.Florida) notched a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and Jordanian forward Zaid Abbas (203-83) supported him with 16 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Even 29 points and 4 steals by forward Nan Zhang (197-81) did not help to save the game for TianJin Rongcheng. American power forward Donnell Harvey (203-80, college: Florida) added 15 points and 14 rebounds. Four Fujian SBS XunXin and five TianJin Rongcheng players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Fujian SBS XunXin (2-4) moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated TianJin Rongcheng. TianJin Rongcheng lost third consecutive game. Fujian SBS XunXin will meet Qingdao Double Star (#16) on the road in the next round. TianJin Rongcheng will play against Xinjiang Flying Tige in Urumqi and hope to secure a win.
