Rather expected game when 10th ranked West Coast Waves (1-11) lost to eighth ranked Canberra Capitals (4-8) in Perth 72-89. The game was mostly controlled by Canberra Capitals. West Coast Waves was better in third quarter 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Canberra Capitals made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was forward Brigitte Ardossi (188-87, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. International center Marianna Tolo (196-89) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Canberra Capitals players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Samantha Norwood (188-89, college: Stony Brook) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and guard Jasmine Hooper (177-91) added 15 points respectively.
