LF2 top team - Pais Vasco (9-2) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat eleventh ranked Gernika (3-7) 67-59. Gernika trailed by 14 points after 3 quarters before a 29-23 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 59-67 at the end of the game. Pais Vasco dominated on the defensive end, holding Gernika to just 5 points in first quarter. It was a quality performance for forward Iulene Olaberria (178-85) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 15 rebounds. point guard Maria Gomez (170-82) accounted for 15 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side.
