Regular Season Round 11: BBC Nitia - Amicale 60-78

Very expected game when 9th ranked BBC Nitia (1-10) lost to fifth ranked Amicale (7-4) in Bettembourg 60-78 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Amicale. BBC Nitia managed to win third quarter 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding BBC Nitia to just 2 points in fourth quarter. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Demetrius Brown (201-83, college: San Jose St.) who led the winners and scored 27 points and 7 rebounds. Croatian-Austrian forward Ivan Djerman (203-83) accounted for 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Four Amicale players scored in double figures. Latvian power forward Janis Poznaks (202-83) came up with 19 points and 6 rebounds and American power forward William Arre (199-86, college: Lock Haven, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for BBC Nitia in the defeat. Amicale moved-up to third place, which they share with Etzella. BBC Nitia lost their eighth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth position with ten games lost. They share it with Heffingen. Amicale will meet at home Basket Esch (#5) in the next round. BBC Nitia will play against Heffingen (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
