JBL top team - Aishin Sea Horses (14-4) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat sixth ranked Hokkaido L. (8-10) in Kariya 79-65. The game without a history. Aishin Sea Horses led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was Jamaican center Kevin Young (206-84, college: Missouri) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international power forward J.R. Sakuragi (206-76, college: UCLA) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds. Four Aishin Sea Horses players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Jai Lewis (201-83, college: George Mason, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) who recorded 19 points and 9 rebounds and international guard Ryota Sakurai (194-83) added 12 points and 6 assists respectively. Hokkaido L.'s coach rotated ten players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Aishin Sea Horses. Defending champion maintains first place with 14-4 record, which they share with Toyota Alvark. Hokkaido L. lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the fourth position with ten games lost. Aishin Sea Horses' next round opponent will be Tochigi Brex (#6) at home which should be theoretically an easy game. Hokkaido L. will play against Mitsubishi Dolphins in Nagoya.
