Very important is a home loss of second ranked Ikaroi Serron (7-3) against eighth ranked Arkadikos (5-5) on Saturday night. Host Ikaroi Serron was defeated by Arkadikos in a tough game in Serres 64-70. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Ikaroi Serron won third quarter 18-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Andronikos Gizogiannis (200-83, agency: FCM) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Giorgos Kopsaftis (192-83, agency: FCM) contributed with 10 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Arkadikos players scored in double figures. Power forward Evaggelis Margaritis (202-82) replied with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 13 rebounds and guard Savvas Kaberidis (187-78) added 14 points and 5 assists in the effort for Ikaroi Serron. Arkadikos moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Ikaroi Serron at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. They share it with AEK and Apollon Patras. Arkadikos will play against Perama Ermis (#8) at home in the next round. Ikaroi Serron will play against the league's second-placed Apollon Patras (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
