Very expected game when 11th ranked Hondarribia-Irun (2-6) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Cadi la Seu (5-3) 78-74 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 8 points after three quarters before their 22-10 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Adrianne Ross (173-84, college: TCU, agency: Merit Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and Nigerian-American guard Chineze Nwagbo (183-82, college: Syracuse) who added 20 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Cadi la Seu's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Chilean center Tatiana Gomez (193-81, agency: Josep and Nicolas) responded with 12 points and 8 rebounds and guard Laura Garcia (175-81, agency: Josep and Nicolas) scored 17 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Cadi la Seu moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Girona. Loser Hondarribia-Irun dropped to the tenth position with six games lost. Cadi la Seu will face league's second-placed Perfumerias Avenida in Salamanca in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Hondarribia-Irun will play on the road against Joventud Mariana (#4) in Soller.
