There was an upset when second-best Perth Wildcats (7-4) were defeated at home by ninth ranked Adelaide 36ers (3-6) 96-84 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 96-84. Adelaide 36ers made 31-of-39 free shots (79.5 percent) during the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Adelaide 36ers made 7 blocks. Perth Wildcats were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American forward Diamon Simpson (201-87, college: St.Mary's, CA) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). His fellow American import guard Chris Warren (178-88, college: Mississippi) chipped in 20 points and 6 assists.
