Very predictable result when fourth ranked Tuscany Pistoia (7-3) defeated at home 13th ranked Tezenis Verona (3-6) 74-69. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 27-17. But Tezenis Verona won second period 18-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a very good performance for the former international power forward Giacomo Galanda (211-75) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 7 rebounds. French power forward Guillame Yango (205-82, college: Pacific) contributed with 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. International power forward Andrea Renzi (208-89, agency: Players Group) replied with 12 points and 9 rebounds and Serbian-Greek forward Dusan Vukcevic (201-75, agency: Interperformances) added 13 points in the effort for Tezenis Verona. Five Tuscany Pistoia and four Tezenis Verona players scored in double figures. Tezenis Verona's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Tuscany Pistoia moved-up to third place, which they share with Enel Brindisi. Tezenis Verona at the other side keeps the thirteenth position with six games lost. Tuscany Pistoia's next round opponent will be Sigma Barcellona (#7) at home. Tezenis Verona will play against Enel Brindisi (#4).
