Regular Season Round 12: Tln Kalev - Kalev/Cramo 60-73
Date: December 4, 2011
Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Tallinn: Kalev/Cramo (#2) and Tln Kalev (#6). Tln Kalev was defeated at home 60-73 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. The game without a history. Kalev/Cramo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a good game for Senegalese center Bamba Fall (216-86, college: SMU) who led his team to a victory with 14 points and 6 rebounds. International forward Kaido Saks (205-86) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Kalev/Cramo's coach Aivar Kuusmaa allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Russian center Aleksei Fedortchuk (210-86, agency: RIZO) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and American guard Brandis Raley-Ross (188-87, college: S.Carolina) added 10 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Tln Kalev. Kalev/Cramo have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 9-1 record behind leader Tartu Ulikool. Tln Kalev at the other side dropped to the fifth place with seven games lost. They share the position with TTU/Kalev. Kalev/Cramo will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tln Kalev's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tallinn TTU/Kalev.
