Regular Season Round 8: Familia Schio - Lucca 62-59

The most exciting game of round 8 in the A1 took place in Schio. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of second-ranked Lucca (6-2) to fourth ranked Familia Schio (6-2) 62-59 in the game for the third place. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Lucca. Lucca was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. They outrebounded Lucca 37-26 including 22 on the defensive glass. Israeli guard Liron Cohen (173-82) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points and 6 assists. Familia Schio is looking forward to face league's second-placed Umbertide on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Lucca will play against Comense in Como and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
