The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Tartu Ulikool as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Tartu Ulikool edged 3rd ranked BC Rakvere at home 85-82. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of BC Rakvere. BC Rakvere was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. 30 personal fouls committed by BC Rakvere helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was international guard Kristo Saage (184-85) who scored 20 points and 4 assists. The former international guard Silver Leppik (188-83) chipped in 18 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Latvian center Kaspars Cipruss (210-82, agency: Interperformances) who recorded 26 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and the former international center Viljar Veski (215-86) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Four BC Rakvere players scored in double figures. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. BC Rakvere at the other side keeps the third place with four games lost. BC Rakvere will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Tartu Ulikool will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked KK Parnu at home.
