Rather expected game when 13th ranked Hapoel Yokneam/Megido (2-7) lost at home to tenth ranked Elitzur Ramla (4-5) 99-91 on Tuesday. The guests trailed by 8 points at the halftime before their 56-40 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Elitzur Ramla made 26-of-34 free shots (76.5 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Hapoel Yokneam/Megido was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American forward Stacey Moragne (195-83, college: Mass.-Lowell) who led his team to a victory with 29 points and 6 rebounds (went 12 for 12 at the free throw line !!!). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Elitzur Ramla moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Hapoel Yokneam/Megido lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with seven games lost. Elitzur Ramla will face higher ranked Elitzur Yavne (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hapoel Yokneam/Megido will play against Ironi Nes-Ziona (#12) in Nes Ziyona and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
