Very predictable result when ninth ranked Etendard de Brest (7-5) won against at home 16th ranked Rueil (2-10) 84-70 on Tuesday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Etendard de Brest dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Rueil's 30. It was a good game for center Rafael Lopez (204-86) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Johan Rathieuville (177-85) contributed with 8 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Georgian center Georges Mdivani (205-85, agency: Promotex) replied with 14 points and 8 rebounds and naturalized Mali guard Modibo Niakate (185-81, college: Cleveland St.) added 14 points in the effort for Rueil. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Etendard de Brest have an impressive five-game winning streak.
