Regular Season Round 15: PGE Turow - PBG Basket 74-75

The most exciting game of round 15 in the PLK took place in Zgorzelec. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of second-best PGE Turow (10-4) to eleventh ranked PBG Basket (5-9) 75-74 on Friday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. PGE Turow trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 25-15 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 74-75 at the end of the game. PBG Basket made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. It was a good game for the former international power forward Damian Kulig (205-87) who saved his team from a defeat with 24 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Serbian forward Zarko Comagic (201-85, college: N.Arizona) contributed with 15 points for the winners. American guard Ronald Moore (183-88, college: Siena) answered with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import guard David Jackson (193-86, college: W.Illinois) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for PGE Turow. Four PGE Turow players scored in double figures. PGE Turow's coach Jacek Winnicki rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. PBG Basket moved-up to tenth place. PGE Turow at the other side keeps the second position with four games lost. They share it with Trefl Sopot. PBG Basket are looking forward to face higher ranked AZS Koszalin (#9) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. PGE Turow will play against Slask Wroclaw (#6) and is hoping to win this game.
